Joan Palet: Drawing

Created 80 years ago, Joan Palet's work is devoted mainly to themes of female figure, nudes and ballet scenes, a work of workshop that she interpreted with Parisian elegance, in balanced compositions of classical style treated with soft and iridescent colours, like velvet. However, the impressionist understanding of light and hue, which seems to dilute the contours in a thick environment, is based on a solidly consolidated drawing, like Degas, subtly compensating the main lines of the composition. Below you will find drawings by Joan Palet for sale at Gaudifond Arte.

Emiliano García Tur - Landscape painting

Born in Barcelona and with works exhibited more than fifty times around Spain, Emiliano García Tur is a painter whose impressionist and sensual work is characterised by portraits and landscapes featuring the vivid and rich colours of Catalonia, and always convey a great sense of atmosphere and warmth. García Tur's themes relate to the cultural memory, and present an excellent, clear and illuminating vision, showing us both the wild nature of forests and landscapes domesticated by man, all with the greatest of simplicity. His attractive stroke, as refined as it is powerful, seems to lead the viewer to smell the colours and listen to the sounds of the environments of his paintings.

Enrique Nieto: Surrealist Painting

The sometimes controversial art of the illustrator, painter, animator and cartoonist Enrique Nieto can be placed somewhere between Symbolism and Surrealism, with a critical vocation and political and sociological overtones. Born in Tangier but having settled in Alicante, Enrique Nieto's drawings have appeared in erotic magazines such as Playboy or Penthouse, and in innumerable books by publishers like Plaza y Janés and Santillana. But there is no doubt that it is Enrique Nieto's paintings that best reveals his poetic and dreamlike talent. His critical facet lends his work a relevant and current voice, adding and edge to an artistic proposal that would otherwise be limited to symbolic, romantic and surrealistic images with no further message.
